Yes, in Gaya town you cant expect more but still this was disappointing given the images and reviews. The hotel is located near the railway station. Its some 2-2.5 kms from main part of city but this 2kms seems like 10kms. The lanes leading to hotel is so untidy that you just dont feel like going out. The rooms are small and no space to move around. The furniture too looks too cheap. Food is ok but never went into the restaurant but ordered in room only. The rates are also reasonable. If you are a tourist heading towards Bodhgaya, do note that Bodhgaya has far many better hotels than in Gaya town.

I do not know who wrote the glowing reviews for the hotel and restaurant at this address, but their praises in no way approach our first-hand experience. To begin with, they offered us a room which had dirty sheets - obviously recycled from the previous occupant. We had to request and insist several times to get clean ones... and yes, please change the pillow slips too, and bring us some clean towels. The towels were finally brought: greyish, unfresh smell and limited to one each. Wifi and hot water were announced- neither of which functioned. The other guests were rowdy and loud, ordering mass quantities of food, the remains of which we found sitting next to our door for the whole day, along with dirty laundry and such. The restaurant, described in Tripadvisor as the best in town, is a dank, somber basement dining room, which opens for breakfast at 10AM! We took two meals there, both times we were the only customers. The food was ordinary at best and the service sketchy. As we paid our bill to leave, the manager (well described by kazumanrosa in his review), urged me to write a glowing review of his establishment. Well, here it is! Take it or leave it, it's up to you.
